I am trying to write my paper on the novel, ';The Trial'; by Franz Kafka but I misplaced the book and haven't read ir yet :( i know, i know, shame on me..but how do relationships come into play with the main character? I was told by a friend that he had many girlfriends.thanks for all your help. How does the theme ';relationships'; play into the book ';The Trial';? by Franz Kafka?
Actually, he is to marry a girl and he doesn't really know whether he has to speak to his friend from St-Petersbourgh. He knows he should but he doesn't feel like doing it . Finally, he decides to do it. He writes the letter and then goes to see his father to tell him he did. But the father acts really strangely and does as if he didn't know the friend whereas he does. And finally, he gets very furious against his son and tells him he is a bad son and a bad friend and that he loves the friend as his own son.
