Do long distance relationships work out?

This guy and I have a long distance relationship going. We met in a mall and he lives about an hour away from me. I only see him a couple of times but i really like him and he really likes me. Most people say these things don't work but... I need answers! HELP ME!!!Do long distance relationships work out?
if you both have an open mind and think positively you have a good chance :) But you have to be mature and have faith because long distance leaves room for lots of dumb behavior and misunderstandings.
