If the question were put straight to Jesus: what would he say about same sex relationships?

What would Jesus say about homosexuality?If the question were put straight to Jesus: what would he say about same sex relationships?
Jesus very clearly said of himself..............(John 5:19) . . .Therefore, in answer, Jesus went on to say to them: “Most truly I say to YOU, The Son cannot do a single thing of his own initiative, but only what he beholds the Father doing. For whatever things that One does, these things the Son also does in like manner.

(John 5:30) . . .I cannot do a single thing of my own initiative; just as I hear, I judge; and the judgment that I render is righteous, because I seek, not my own will, but the will of him that sent me.

(John 8:28) . . .Therefore Jesus said: “When once YOU have lifted up the Son of man, then YOU will know that I am [he], and that I do nothing of my own initiative; but just as the Father taught me I speak these things.

Jesus Christ clearly would have had the same opoinion as his Father, Jehovah God.

What then, did Jesus Christ say about the matter of marriage? He quoted the words of his Father, Jehovah God.

(Mark 10:5-9) . . .But Jesus said to them: “Out of regard for YOUR hardheartedness he wrote YOU this commandment. 6 However, from [the] beginning of creation ‘He made them male and female. 7 On this account a man will leave his father and mother, 8 and the two will be one flesh’; so that they are no longer two, but one flesh. 9 Therefore what God yoked together let no man put apart.”

Jesus Christ clearly made no mention of same sex couples. He clearly stated that God created Man %26amp; Woman and that they should stick together. He was talking about divorce in these scriptures, true. But think about this. If, and I do mean IF, God were to approve of same sex couples, would it make sense for Him to have different standards for them? Of course not! For goodness sakes, that's what same sex relationships are constantly fighting for, equality!

So IF God approved of same sex relationships, then the standards for them would have been laid out at the same time as those for relationships between men and women. But they weren't! Why? Because Jesus Christ and Jehovah God do not approve of same sex relationships!

There are many other scriptural references that prove that God does not approve of same sex relationships, but since Jesus did not specifically address that issue and the question asked was about Jesus' opinion, the answer must be based on the principles of what Jesus believed and taught and did speak about.If the question were put straight to Jesus: what would he say about same sex relationships?
Genesis 2:24 gave us the basic plans of marriage. It says, Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

There's quite a bit on the subject. In The Old Testament, Leviticus 18:22 states, ';Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.'; Also, again in Leviticus 20:13, which states, ';If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.';

There are other passages in the Bible such as Romans 1:26-27, ';For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.';

Genesis 19 makes mention of homosexual lifestyles, and what God did as punishment toward the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Sex was meant to be between husband and wife, to show affection and love for one another, and to procreate. Jesus Christ Himself referred to Genesis 2:24 as the blueprint for marriage when He said, ';Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.'; (Matthew 19:4-6)
He would say the same thing he told the woman caught in the act of adultery.

To bring you up to speed on the story, some religious leaders wanted to trap Jesus, so they brought a woman caught in adultery to Jesus to see what He would say. They wanted to know if He would condemn her to be stoned as the Law requires and thus lose His following, or if He would just let her go free and give them an excuse to arrest Him for breaking the Law.

When they brought her to Him, He began to write something on the ground (nobody knows what He wrote). Then He looked up and said ';Who ever is without sin should cast the first stone.'; He then bent down and continued to write things in the sand with His finger. Some people believe He was writing the hidden sins of each of the religious men, because it says that one by one, from the oldest to the youngest, they all left.

Then Jesus looked up and asked the woman, ';Who condemns you?';

The woman, looking around and seeing none of her accusers said ';No one, sir.';

To which Jesus replied (and THIS is what He would say to the homosexual as well), ';Neither do I condemn you. Now GO AND SIN NO MORE!';

Did you see that? Justice and mercy fulfilled in one giant step! Jesus is the ONLY one who had the right to cast any stones, being without sin, but He did NOT. Instead, He forgave her, and then told her to REPENT! - QUIT!

That's basically the same thing I, too, say to homosexuals - QUIT and receive God's forgiveness.
I think He would say that it displeases God and is a sin like any other sin. We all have sins that we need to overcome, to me homosexuality is no different than any other sin. In the Old Testament it says that it is an abomination and a sin against what God has created.
I'll tell you guys what I think:

We all deserve death(by that I mean we all deserve to go to hell) because we all do bad things.

But that doesn't mean everyone of us are going to hell!

Because Jesus died in order for us to live, yet we must try to obey His law, the decision lies with us to determine if we go to hell or heaven.

God doesn't decide, you do.
He'd quote scripture since he was a Rabbi that believed every word: ';If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.'; (Leviticus 20:13)
Although I do not believe Jesus would say they must be put to death, he would probably be against it. Then again, he might say ';chop you balls off, for its better to be ball less in heaven, then your full body in hell'; because he said something like that about hitting on a girl.
He would quote the Bible like he did when Satan tried to tempt him. He always points to the Bible as the only guide for mankind.

So he would say ';haven't you read';?

Rom. 1:24-27: “God, in keeping with the desires of their hearts, gave them up to uncleanness, that their bodies might be dishonored among them . . . God gave them up to disgraceful sexual appetites, for both their females changed the natural use of themselves into one contrary to nature; and likewise even the males left the natural use of the female and became violently inflamed in their lust toward one another, males with males, working what is obscene and receiving in themselves the full recompense, which was due for their error.”

1 Tim. 1:9-11: “Law is promulgated, not for a righteous man, but for persons lawless and unruly, ungodly and sinners, . . . fornicators, men who lie with males, . . . and whatever other thing is in opposition to the healthful teaching according to the glorious good news of the happy God.” (Compare Leviticus 20:13.)

Jude 7: “Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities about them, after they . . . [had] gone out after flesh for unnatural use, are placed before us as a warning example by undergoing the judicial punishment of everlasting fire.” (The name Sodom has become the basis for the word “sodomy,” which usually designates a homosexual practice. Compare Genesis 19:4, 5, 24, 25.)

1 Cor. 6:9-11: “Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men . . . will inherit God’s kingdom. And yet that is what some of you were. But you have been washed clean, but you have been sanctified, but you have been declared righteous in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and with the spirit of our God.”
He'd probably mumble something and then drool on himself.

(I have a theory that jesus was actually mentally retarded, and that the whole ';sinless'; thing was just a metaphor.)
Jesus would probably condemn the practice of Sodomy because it goes against his Father's Law. But he would be forgiving and understanding of those that erred and are seeking redemption for their sins.
';Repent and turn towards Yahweh,'; and then would say ';go and sin no more.';

Yahshua (Jesus) is the Word, and the Word very clearly says in Leviticus that same sex relationships are an ';abomination.';
Heh, 'straight' to Jesus.

Sorry, just had to point out the pun. Was that intentional, or accidental, just outta curiosity? ^^
Since He had a tendency to quote the Old Testament -

'; 'Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable.'';

(Leviticus 18:22)
Homosexuality is immoral sin. He would ask them to change
God didn't create men %26amp; women to be with the same sex. He created them to be with the opposite sex. Therefore, Jesus would support God. If you don't believe me, try asking Him yourself.
He'd probably just shrug and invite them over for fish and wine.
Well, the only answers you're going to get here are personal opinions. No one knows what he will say.
Go your way and sin no more.
IF he ever even lived, he's dead now.

Dead people don't often say much...
he would do in rome as the romans do.
The wages of sin is death.
